Not every event guest in Ghana has a smartphone with data. Edwadzi supports ticket purchases entirely through USSD, so anyone with a basic phone and mobile money can buy a ticket without downloading an app or opening a browser.

Before you start

You need three things:

  • The event's five-digit code (the organizer publishes this on posters and flyers).
  • A Ghana mobile-money account with enough balance to cover the ticket price.
  • A phone that can dial USSD codes (any GSM handset works).

The dial string

The Edwadzi USSD entry point is *928*24#. This is an Arkesel-shared shortcode with Edwadzi's 2-digit extension (24).

Step by step

  1. Dial *928*24# on your phone.
  2. Choose “Buy a ticket” from the menu.
  3. Enter the event's five-digit code (from the flyer or organizer).
  4. Pick a ticket tier and quantity.
  5. Confirm the total price in Ghana cedis.
  6. Complete payment with mobile money.
  7. You will receive an SMS with your ticket code and a link to your ticket page.

What arrives on your phone

Your ticket code is delivered via SMS. Save it, or forward the SMS to anyone who is attending on your behalf. If you have a smartphone, the link in the SMS opens a printable ticket with a QR code the event organizer scans at entry. If you do not, the code itself is enough.

Common questions

Does USSD cost extra? Your mobile carrier charges a small session fee that varies by network. The ticket price on Edwadzi is the same whether you buy on the web or via USSD.

What if I do not receive the SMS? First check that your inbox is not full. If the ticket does not arrive within a few minutes, contact the event organizer with the phone number you used; Edwadzi keeps a record of every USSD purchase.

Can I buy more than one ticket in a single session? Yes. Pick the quantity when prompted; the total price adjusts and each ticket is issued individually.
