Question 1

What is Edwadzi?

Accepted Answer

Edwadzi is a Ghana-based platform that connects event organizers with vendors (caterers, photographers, venues, DJs, decorators and more), runs ticket sales for events, and offers USSD ticket buying so attendees can buy tickets without a smartphone or data connection.

Question 2

Who can sign up?

Accepted Answer

Anyone 18+ can create an account. Most people sign up as an attendee (buy tickets, RSVP to events). If you offer event services you can apply as a vendor; if you organize events you can use the platform's organizer tools at no setup cost.

Question 3

Do I need to verify my account?

Accepted Answer

Standard accounts use email + phone verification. Vendors complete an additional identity and credentials check before listings go live. Organizers running paid events must add a payout account before tickets can be sold.

Question 4

How do I buy a ticket?

Accepted Answer

Browse events, pick a tier, and pay with mobile money or card. Your ticket arrives by email and is also available in your account. You can also buy tickets by USSD from any phone, using the code on the event page, without going through the website.

Question 5

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. Open the ticket in your account and use the transfer option. Some events disable transfers; if so the option will not appear.

Question 6

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Refund eligibility depends on the event's refund policy, which the organizer sets when creating the event. Open the ticket in your account to see the policy that applies. If the event is cancelled by the organizer, refunds are processed automatically.

Question 7

What does it cost to run an event on Edwadzi?

Accepted Answer

Creating an event is free. When you sell tickets, payment processing fees and a small platform service fee are deducted from each sale. You can see the exact breakdown when setting up your ticket tiers.

Question 8

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Add a payout account in your organizer settings. Ticket sales are split at the moment of purchase, and your share settles to your mobile money or bank account on the standard settlement schedule. There is no waiting period for the platform to release funds.

Question 9

Can I sell tickets via USSD?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a Pro subscription. Pro organizers get a USSD code on each event so attendees can dial it, find the event, and pay by mobile money. Tickets are delivered by SMS to the buyer's phone.

Question 10

How do I list my services?

Accepted Answer

Apply through the 'Become a Vendor' flow. After identity and credentials review, you build a profile with packages, photos, and pricing. Approved vendors appear in search and can receive booking requests.

Question 11

How do I get paid for a booking?

Accepted Answer

Clients pay through the platform when accepting your quote. Funds go to your payout account based on the agreed payment schedule (deposit, balance on completion). You receive automated SMS and in-app notifications when payments land.

Question 12

Do reviews from clients affect my listing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your overall rating and review count appear on your public profile and in search results. You can respond to any review once.

Question 13

Which payment methods can I use?

Accepted Answer

Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve) and mobile money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money). USSD ticket purchases are mobile-money only.

Question 14

Is my payment secure?

Accepted Answer

All payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. You enter card details in a secure payment window, and Edwadzi never sees or stores them. Mobile money transactions are authenticated by your provider's prompt on your phone.

Question 15

What if a vendor doesn't deliver?

Accepted Answer

Open a dispute through your booking page. The platform's support team reviews evidence from both sides and decides on a resolution, which can include partial or full refund.

Question 16

How does USSD ticket purchase work?

Accepted Answer

Dial the USSD code shown on the event page or the organizer's poster, on any phone with mobile money. Confirm the ticket tier and approve the mobile money charge. Your ticket arrives by SMS with a unique code that can be scanned at the door.

Question 17

Which networks are supported?

Accepted Answer

MTN, Telecel, and AT in Ghana. Standard USSD session charges from your carrier apply.

Question 18

What if I don't get the SMS?

Accepted Answer

Check that you have signal and that your phone can receive SMS. If you still don't see it after 5 minutes, contact support with your phone number and the time of purchase, and the team can re-send.

Question 19

Who sends me SMS messages?

Accepted Answer

Edwadzi sends SMS for booking confirmations, ticket delivery, event reminders, and onboarding steps. Messages come from the sender ID 'Edwadzi'. SMS is delivered through our partner Arkesel.

Question 20

How do I opt out?

Accepted Answer

Open Settings > Notifications in your account and toggle SMS notifications off. You can opt back in at any time. Some critical messages (ticket delivery, payment receipts) may still be sent.

Question 21

How do I reach support?

Accepted Answer

Open the Support page from your account or visit /support. The team responds during business hours (Ghana time, Mon-Fri).

Question 22

I think I found a bug. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Contact support with a description of what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. Screenshots help a lot.
